…is sorting out your intake process! ✔️

In my experience, the right system can turn chaos into order.

👇🏻 Here’s HOW to get started:

1️⃣ Pick one platform and stick to it
Can be email or your preferred tool, whatever works best for you. Keeping requests centralised saves time and reduces confusion.

2️⃣ Use an existing tool
Many legal teams adapt tools like Jira for free. Collaborate with IT to customise it for legal requests.

3️⃣ Eat your own dog food!
AUTOMATE! Lots of tech companies use their own automation / AI to build simple workflows for their legal team's intake and matter management needs.

💡 BONUS TIPS

❇️ Educate new joiners: Work with HR to introduce your intake process during onboarding.
❇️ Build a Legal Front Door: Create a simple page (in Notion or Google Workspace) with your SLAs and intake process clearly laid out.

❇️ Send a reminder about your intake process 2 weeks before end of quarter.

❇️ Prioritise critical requests: Ask to delay non-urgent requests until the next quarter.

I cover all of these points (& more!) in depth in my latest YouTube video series 👇🏻
